A nice lil group named 'The Crowd' i peeped a lil while ago. The dude on the guitar Akil, appeared on that missy elliott show 'The Road to Stardom' and to be honest he shoulda won the whole thing. He's a very talented dude making ill beats with his guitar whilst simultaneously beatboxing. His rhymes are tight too. Akil and Randy Mason provide the rhyme side of things while the singing is left to beautiful and talented Adeline. These guys are real fly i mean they got a nice vibe to them, check the vids.....

FUTEBOL!!!!
I've managed to track down a documentary i watched a few years back and was instantly mesmorised by. 'Ginga: The Soul Of Brazilian Football' is, as the title would suggest a documentary based around brazilian football.
Coming from the makers of the 'City of God' and the 'City of Men', ginga provides an in depth look in to the the lives of various brazilian youngsters all of whom have differing dreams that include the same means, 'futebol.'
The doc is a refreshing look at the lives of rich and poor. Many sports and activities claim to break racial and social barriers, however over the years such caims have been exposed, class divides are prevalant in cities all over the world. Yet within Brazil, and Ginga, there does seem to be a genuine bond and common goal between the rich and the poor alike. Paulo, one of the more wealthy characters lights up the camaera not only through his skill with a football but also with his passion for life. A passion that is shared by Romarinho who, despite living in squaler conditions within the notorious Rio favela Rocinha, seems perfectly happy so long as he is able to play the beautiful game.
Overall a great doc that any football fan, brazil fanatic, or simply anyone with an hour to spare, should watch!!
By the way the doc has got a bangin soundtrack, hopefully i'll upload sometime later, but if you like brazilian music its probably worth coppin.

Strange that it has two different covers and two different track lists, the first one seems to be the more legit one because its everywhere but i stumble across this one so....( plus its got a bigger track list):

Just thought i'd come at you with a fairly new dope video from Naledge one half of the critically acclaimed rap duet Kidz in the Hall. Coming straight from the success of two albums 'School Was My Hustle' and 'The In Crowd' the kids are back dropping more hard hitting fury coming straight out of the chi.
In the video Naledge follows the script still repping chicago (those familiar with chicago will recognise a few places in the vid) hard. Abstract lyrics laced over a unique beat depicts how many things have changed, though Naledge remains focused and on point. Nice imagery and a fast paced beat culminate to make for one interesting video...

WOW!! I REALLY FLOPPED THIS BLOG...
I'm coming back at you with basically anything i want....
I've got to begin with my favourite album of all time and possible the greatest hip hop album oof all time and that is Nasir Jones illmatic:
Most of this album was written when nas was at the age of just 17. If listened to thoroughly, some of the lyrics are just mind blowing. The kid has an amazing flow and an uncanny ability to articulate the most intricate details of street life. At times i wonder whether i prefer the nasty nas, who repped queensbridge hard and had an airtight flow, to the modern self titled 'revolutionary' nas. However i think we must all realise, times have changed, and most importantly nas has changed, at damn near 40 i don't think it would be right for him to be still playing the role of street prophet. An established figure in hip hop nas to believes it is his role to expose the ills of the government and raise social issues through pointing at them (see 'untitled') rather than being involved in them (see illmatic). Ultimately, you be the judge!
Anyway here's a link i came across, though i strongly suggest you cop because this is a must have. Also the rapidshare link is a file with some scans of the xxl article published for a 15 year anniversary tribute to the perfection that is illmatic. The articles features interviews and memos from all the albums major players including nas himself as well as producers such as premier large professor and pete rock...
Interesting read, bascially behind the scenes of the production of each and every track.
Favourites include: Nas - Represent Mp3 Download Listen Lyrics MP3 Free
Memory lane
New York state of mind
Enjoy!
